Run For Your Lives

I'm going to sign up for "Run For Your Lives" in Illinois. It will be my first "5K"...But, it's also an obstacle course (Tough Mudder, Spartan Sprint, Rugged Maniac type of thing)...where you get chased by zombies. Anybody else interested? It's not 'til 9/21. My boss suggested it. I think we're shooting for the 11 AM wave.   http://www.runforyourlives.com/illinois-overview-2013/

This was my 12 person relay team from Greensboro, NC the Blue Ridge Relay Race.  The race took place over a 2 day period from Friday, September 8-9.  The race consisted of a total of 208 miles starting from Grayson Highlands National Forest in Virginia along the Blue Ridge Parkway into the mountains of Asheville, NC.   This was a very hilly course to say the least but we all survived.   Each runner ran between 14 - 22 miles each to complete the treck.  When we weren't running, we were stuck in a ran with each other for over 32 hours. I was forced to eat way too many gummy bears during that time period.

I ran a little over 17 of the 208 miles to complete the race and this was one of my views during the race.  Truly awesome experience but sleep deprived.  Out of the 141 teams to compete we came in dead last at 35 hours.  This was a great race and we had a lot of fun.
